Software update
Our company is updating the corporate desktops and laptops regularly with new software updates. As we are using Vista, there is currently an update including Service Pack 1 available:
The installation will log you off and will take 2 – 5 hours with 11 automatic reboots
But at least they also give the recommendation to start the update after work ;)
Location confusion
Apparently, our company uses a proxy server with a Japanese IP address. Whatismyipaddress.com gives me the following location:

The problem with this is that some sites present their content according to the country of the visitor, which they determine through the IP. Google is one of those sites. So, opening google.com gives me:

As blogger.com also belongs to google, I sometimes get screens like this one:

Understanding
I just love it when I see a short Chinese sentence and can actually read it! Although for this one (actually, a song title), I didn't understand it and had to rely on a translation and short explanation.

Note to self: Have a look at ALL settings that can be edited on a page, not just the ones I frequently use. There just might be one that saves me a lot of work....
Yes, so far I went through all sub-sites and edited the Regional Settings for them manually, everytime with the same values...
Singapore vs. Brazil Olympic Team
Singapore is playing against the Brazil Olympic Team here in SG, however ticket prices start at $60 (28€)......otherwise I might've gone there, but that's a lot of money for such a match
